Cozy space in 1:6 Scale

Image
You do not need a dollhouse to create a miniature diorama. There are so many possibilities if you think outside the box, although a box is a perfect thing to use.   I love using this antique crate box because it has beautiful natural wood, its sturdy and it has a nice high ceiling for 1:6 scale. I've used it for decades but I am really in love with this weeks diorama. I would love to curl up in that armchair and listen to the turntable while I leaf through magazines.  I love plants and have started growing succulents and cacti in small containers to use in my mini spaces. The Barbie and the Eye painting were done by Alora's Gallery

Happy 2026

Happy New Year!  Yes I realize this month is more than halfway over but I'm a little behind. Slow and steady is my motto for the year :)  I'm currently working on creating a cozy scene in an antique wood crate that will be about 1:6 scale. I am almost finished and hope to have a video and photos up later today.  Have you made any miniature goals for the year?  I am going to try to resist the mass produced minis and buy more "One of a Kind" handmade miniatures but some of those Zuru balls are so tempting.  Thankfully I am finding more "mini brand" items in the thrift stores which is even more exciting.
